how do I highlight a word on a webpage and get the definition to pop up?

I had my hand resting on the mouse pad as I was looking online and a word that my pointer was sitting over got highlighted and a number of definitions for that word popped up. I have no idea how I did it and would like to know

In System Preferences > Trackpad > Point and click > Look up

In other words, select the desired word, and tap it with three fingers.

Or... right click and choose 'Look Up...'

Just click it and press look up this word in dictionary.
