Feb 4, 2015 8:57 AM in response to Winston Churchillby BellaHMB,Well that is interesting. We use my ipad mini to mirror/airplay Amazon prime. But there is an HBOGO option
on the menu of my apple tv.

Feb 4, 2015 9:02 AM in response to BellaHMBby Winston Churchill,You're correct about HBO GO, I thought it was just HBO on the Apple TV, but there we go. I think you may have been mistaken about AirPlay though.

Feb 4, 2015 9:36 AM in response to Winston Churchillby BellaHMB,Yes, we use hbo go directly through Apple TV. We stream Amazon prime through my ipad then airplay to the TV.
My question really is do you think my streaming buffer delays could be because my apple
tv is from 2010?

Feb 4, 2015 9:42 AM in response to BellaHMBby Winston Churchill,Well, having read the app, it does indeed say that it will work with AirPlay (many have said this isn't possible, I just took it as read they were correct).
No I don't think it's anything to do with it being an older Apple TV, if you are having problems using AirPlay, you most likely have a problem with your wifi network.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
- Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
- Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
- Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
- Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
- Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
- Restart your mobile device.
