Extreme when connected stops internet at router

I Have a tp adsl router all working fine and had three airport extremes working via this, producing an wireless network the other extremes extended.

i Now have another and thought I would add this one ad well (large area) so this time I took a cable from router to 1st extreme set it to produce a wifi network then added other units to extend signal.

but then my imac would not get an IP address then internet down and no matter how I configered the units and how I connected them it took out the Internet feed, disconnect them all fine.

been on this all day and have ended up with one working add anymore and it all falls over.

i Have no idea why and am about to throw them out of the window!

help please
