Photo and Camera Storage Issue

Hi everyone, I have an iPad 3rd generation with 16GB of storage. I do not have much storage left and I want to get rid of as much storage as possible. I had about 50-60 pictures on my iPad. It took up 2.0GB. I decided to delete all of the pictures. Later, the photos said that I did not have any photos at all. Later when I went to settings>usage>manage storage, it said that I was still using 2.0GB of photos and videos. Pls help if you know the solution!
