my iCloud contacts don't match the contacts on my iPhone6Plus.

I recently replaced a Hard disk in a MacBook Pro with one that had been used approximately a year ago, not thinking that the contacts were out of date and could end up back in iCloud and disseminated to my other devices.

The contacts on my phone got replaced with the old list; the Notes on my iPhone were deleted and my Calendar was a mess.

I deleted all the contacts in iCloud.com, fixed the contacts list in my phone manually and hooked the phone back up to iCloud. there are now 4 contacts (that were inserted manually) in iCloud and i cannot think how to put the Contacts in my phone back up into iCloud.
