My Epson Wifi Printer Wont Stay Connected - Any ideas please?

I'm new to Macs and had an old HP printer. When I upgraded to Macs, I found I was having problems with the printer so I threw it away and bought a new one! I now have a shiny new (cheap) Epson XP 225. It connects fine to the Mac when I first switch it on and print. However, as soon as I try to print again it throws up an error "The printer is not connected" and "Looking for printer". It then never finds it; i switch the printer off and on again and it works first time then stops again. Any ideas please?

Have you tried resetting your printing system? In System Prefs > Printers & Scanners Control click inside the Printers list window on the left and select the reset option. This will clear the printer list and you can add your printer again.

I have not found this specific Epson printer on any list of printers that Apple's printer drivers support. I have found other Epson XP 2XX models, but not the 225.

I found this website that purports to offer a driver for Mac OS X. I have no personal knowledge of this product whatsoever.
