New macbook pro retina 13 ssd noise

two days old macbook pro retina 13" mid 2014 with 128 gb ssd makes strange buzzing whining noise from q and w area in keyboard.this sound is coming when i boot up or while transfering files.

i started black magic disk speed test and i recorded this noise.i can hear this noise in quite room from 30 cm (11") distance of macbook.

is this noise normal?

SSDs should not be making any noise. More likely it is the fan.

If the MBP is two days old, bring it back and have it fixed. If you purchased it from Apple, then you have the option of a refund or an exchange in the first 14 days of ownership.

it is not fan. i tested every part. this sound is coming only when i test ssd. i think this sound is coil whine noise...

Please stop telling people this is likely the fan. The fan is on the opposite side and the scratching/buzzing/whining noise happens when the SSD is being accessed.

See the Samsung 840 for another common noisy SSD. Of course they should not be making noise. That's why this should be a replacement worthy problem.

I am going to apple store genius right now. I will ask them this problem. But i think it will be factory problem or ssd problem.

i have the same problem. its the ssd noise, (coil noise). i went to apple store they changed the fan !!!! a wrong troubleshooting ,then i said to them i steel hear the noise, they say they can't do anything more!! and also my macbook's screws are destroyed duo bad using of tools.:|

i have the same problem. But on my macbook pro retina 15inch 2014.

I went to premium service provider and they changed the SSD, Logic Board, fans and I/o board. The noise is still there.

And it is very annoying. What are you going to do?
