Q: Hide subtitles in purchased tv programmes

I purchased the boxed set of Game of Thrones series 4 last night.  I watched the first 2 episodes on my iPad mini, running iOS 8.1.3.  The subtitles were displayed by default.  I checked under Settings>General>Accessibility>Subtitles & Captioning - Closed Captions + SDH is turned off (button white, not green).

Is there another way to hide the subtitles? They are very distracting.

Thanks

iPhone 5, iOS 6

I found the answer (via Apple Chat Support).  With the programme playing, touch the screen so the pause button etc appear at the bottom of the screen.  In the bottom right hand corner there is a discrete bubble.  Click on that and tick/untick subtitles as you want.
