My fan started running extremely loud out of nowhere. It's continued this for days now. I'm not running anything that should be causing this..

I've reset the SMC, ran diagnostics, and repair with no luck..

Open Activity Monitor and check for applications that may be using a lot of CPU resources:

Have you run the extended Apple Hardware Test?

Note that an error free AHT is not definitive.
