Macbook Air Screen changes color

I'm curious if anyone else has had this issue before and may know how to fix it without getting a new Mac. My Macbook Air' (13-inch Mid 2011) screen will sometimes change color and get horizontal bars through it when I move the display. Something like changing the angle of the screen will cause it to turn a strange tint for a moment and then return to normal. Any help would be great, thanks in advance.
