The Sfo airport has free wifi but my new MBP will not connect completly. I have 2 iPads and an iPhone that connect fine. When the iPads connect I see a Login screen. The MBP never displayed the login scree. I ran the wifi diagnosis but it couldn't find a problem. Does anyone have a suggestion?
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)
Maybe it's a pop-up window? Do you have that disabled?
I had the exact same issue. On my side the problem was coming from a "hard-coded" DNS server in my wifi configuration. Once I removed that, my interface took SFO wifi DNS and I could login.
On your Mac, click the Wi-Fi icon in the status menu bar top right side of your screen.
Click the airport Wi-Fi network if it's available.
Yeah, had the same problem as I hard coded the DNS server. Type in 8.8.8.8 into chrome and that should take you to the sfo login webaite
Hi, The airport connects and I get an IP address(Network Settings) but the Login window never pops up. I tried Firefox and Safari to go to Google to see if they would be re-directed to the authentication site but no luck.
My new MBP Yosemite doesn't connect to SFO airport free wifi but 2 iPads and iPhone will, what can I do?
