Q: LogicPro X missing new Project options

While watching tutorials on LogicPro X I have noticed missing from the new project window (on my 13" MacBook Pro with i7 processor, 8gb memory and 750 HDD running OSX Yosemite 10.10.2) is the Orchestral and Movie options? Am I required to switch something. I suddenly feel cheated as if I only have half the program I paid for?

Go to Logic Pro X's preferences and turn on All the advanced tools..

Now Logic Pro X will function as in Logic Pro X mode and not in what we call 'Garageband Pro' Mode

Did this right from the start,it was in "getting to know LPX" tut, tried switching that off and on made no difference, I have also noted some other differences, like the new projects still show as pictures of keyboard, mic, drums, score for blank, and yet on recent tutorials the new options are just shown as a collection of text boxes with; keyboard, mic, drums, score for blank, etc. in. Which makes me believe somethings missing

Thats correct...... so, make sure you have installed all the additional content including all the Legacy content (click on all the disclosure triangles to ensure all categories have been fully downloaded and installed and don't rely on the button in the bottom left hand corner to select it all....)

That's all checked thoroughly and I have repaired permissions. When doing this I got multiple messages starting; "ACL found but not expected on Library Frameworks" for all kinds of files, opened LPX but no change.

Something else I had noticed; lost the ability to see drum names on the piano roll in editor. This is another LPX new item which seems to be leading to LP9 is in control, but this was gradual as I had this facility a few days ago?

Annoying thing is, when opening About Logic Pro X, It proudly proclaims to be Version 10.1.0 so the Apple credits managed to down load OK.

ACL found but not expected on Library Frameworks

    From the following link....

Mac OS X: Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions messages that you can safely ignore - Apple Support

You can also usually ignore any "ACL found but not expected..." message. These messages can occur if you change permissions on a file or directory; they are accurate, but generally not a cause for concern.

For me once I get one set of names up for a Drum Kit or Drum Machine Kit ....and a region..  it works from then onwards until I change Regions then it becomes flaky again.... sometimes working and sometimes not

My guess is it's a bug that needs to be fixed and I have reported it as such....

Ok.. lets test this.... in regards to the missing templates..

    In Finder

    Go to Applications...

Control/Right click on the LPX app and from the popup menu choose Show package Contents

Finder will now show the package contents of LPX's app...

Now navigate in the  Finder window...  to Contents/Resources/Project Templates/New Project and tell me what you have listed in there....

    I have 6 Templates numbered 01 to 06....

    01 Hip Hop

    02 Electronic

    03 Songwriter

    04 Orchestral

    05 Multi-Track Stereo Production

    06 Music for Pictures

These are the exact same six as shown in my screenshot above...
