Connected, but not connected (wifi issue?)

My iPod claims it's connected to the Internet, and it must be because I'm using it to type this. However, when I try opening apps that require an Internet connection i keep being told they can't connect. It's not happening with all my apps, just a half dozen or so. Is anyone else having this problem?

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tends to indicate a problem with your network.

Does the iOS device see the network?

Any error messages?

Do other devices now connect?

Did the iOS device connect before?

Try the following to rule out a software problem:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Power off and then back on your router

.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network

- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to back up

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

The problem isn't that it won't connect. It will connect. I'm responding to your message on it right now. If it wasn't connected I wouldn't have been able to access this website, or the email notifying me of your comment. It is obviously connected. However, there are a few apps that have trouble registering the connection is there. Not all the time, and not all the apps.

As I said on my original statement, other devices are connected to the same wifi and have no problems. I can connect to other wifi sources as well. Same app connectivity issues still occur. I've tried resetting everything. Even reset my iPod back to factory settings recently. Nothing helps.
