Oct 18, 2015 11:09 AM in response to cjaneteachby jig uk,what did you do to fix it? can't pair fone 6S to mac 27"late 2009 El Capitan or use airdrop...

Oct 18, 2015 11:20 AM in response to jig ukby Phil0124,1. As has been already said in this thread, you cannot pair an iPhone to a computer. Neither Continuity, HandOff, nor AirDrop require pairing.
2. Your 2009 computer is too old to use AirDrop with iOS devices.
To send items to an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you need a 2012 or newer Mac model with OS X Yosemite or later, excluding the Mac Pro (Mid 2012).

Oct 19, 2015 8:14 AM in response to jig ukby Phil0124,There are several ways to get pictures onto the Mac.
1. Plug it in and use Image Capture, or iPhoto to import the photos into the computer:
2. Send yourself an Email with the photo from the iPhone to an account that is setup on the Mac.
3. Use an App.
I use this one: https://itunes.apple.com/en/app/photo-share-photo-transfer/id334181910?mt=8
It works quite well. And you don't need to install anything on the Mac.
