Clarisworks 3.0

Can anyone point me to a link or provide info where I may aquire some documentation for Clarisworks 3.0? I recently inhearited an Apple lle along with a stack of 5.25" floppies that I would like to view. The machine seems to work fine but I cannot figure out how to access/view these files. It has a Clarisworks start-up and wp program disk. The files appear to be all AW WP. I just cannot figure out what "commands" are required to get access to the files. I have been a MAC person since 86 and never saw an lle until now.

I'm confused. There was no ClarisWorks for the Apple II, only AppleWorks (only semi-related to the current AppleWorks for Mac & Windows) & AppleWorks GS for the IIgs. ClarisWorks started with version 1 for both Mac & Windows around the 1990. It could read Classic AppleWorks (Apple II) files & AppleWorks GS WP files. Even through AppleWorks 5 for the Mac could read these. AppleWorks 6 cannot.

If you're looking for Classic AppleWorks documentation, I think the best place to start would be a Google search for Apple II user groups. They do still exist.

Claris, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Apple, was the company who made AppleWorks GS & ClarisWorks for Mac & PC. It's been so long that I couldn't remember if they made the Classic AppleWorks for the Apple II. When ClarisWorks was "brought back in-house" with version 5.0.3, Apple re-named it AppleWorks & Claris took the company name of FileMaker. They have made FileMaker all along, I believe. Very confusing to those who haven't used Apple computers for a long time. I started with the Apple IIgs in 1988.

Peggy: The more time I spend on this the more I find I do not know. I found on Ebay a complete set of disk(s) and documentation for Claris Appleworks If I win the auction I should have it in a couple of weeks. I am pretty sure the problem is my lack of knowledge of both the apple IIe and how the programs are launched/accessed, or what ever the correct terminology was for that era.
