touch 5g tried reset now wont load

i have a touch 5g. tried to reset through settings. it began reset, itunes asked how to set it up i chose as a new ipod.that was the last thing i was asked. itunes then showed that the memory was erased through their bar graph. then on the ipod just the apple logo and a loading bar with no progress shown. after 20 mins tried to restore from backup. didnt work then tried hard reset. now it goes to apple logo screen and nothing. itunes wont recognize it. what can i do

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
