Q: Google Maps and Sky News no longer show in notifications

Hi

 

I have an iPhone 5 running the very latest IOS. I have just noticed Sky News and Google Maps no longer show in Notifications. (They used to be there)

 

I have uninstalled and reinstalled both apps - I haver also done the same after waiting 24 hours ect.

 

Nothing has changed since they use to work, other than the app - the phone has no restrictions ect

 

Have they been removed from the apps?

    Hi manxgeorge,

     

    From what you describe, it sounds like notifications may have changed some how in your Settings for these apps. You can check that here:

     

    About Notifications on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

    To see which apps provide notifications and change notification settings, go to Settings > Notifications, and tap the app name.

     

    You can also check to see if they were removed from the Today Notifications with here:


    Notification Center - iPhone

     

    • Set Today options. To choose what information appears, tap the Edit key at the end of your information on the Today tab. Tap + or — to add or remove information. To arrange the order of your information, touch the Grabber icon, then drag it to a new position.

    HI

     

    not not sure you read and understood my question. I am quite aware of how notifications work. These used to be there and now are not. They do not appear in notifications at all

     

    have the app updates removed he ability. Otherwise there is a code issue

    still the same for me. Have deleted Sky News app several times from iphone 6 plus and from mac and re-installed from store with no success

    very frustrating

    in fact to clarify, i click on settings and all that comes up is the version 2.7 (217000.53)

    sky news does not appear at all in the notifications settings
