Is C Dock Safe

I am wondering if installing the app C Dock is safe or not?

For people like myself who aren't 100% well-versed in web security, I'm honestly curious why you say Sourceforge.net is a safer download hub than the general cDock source pageor the Github page (which is always where I download from).
I always thought Sourceforge was a 3rd party download hub & therefore subject to possible trackers/spyware/malware downloads.
Granted, the general cDock source page is not HTTPS. Still, that doesn't necessarily mean https:// sourceforge.net is any safer if it does bundle trackers/spyware/malware.
