Q: iPad iOS 8.1.3 won't work with HP P1102w's own network

Since I installed iOS 8.1.3 on my iPad a few days ago, wireless printing on HP P1102w won't work anymore. Although I did not activate Air-print, iPad found the printer, that has its own network, be it somewhat slowly. Printing worked allwright.

In general, iOS 8.1.3 on my iPad isn't such a succes. For instance, putting a question on this forum proved impossible on my iPad. The characters that I typed did not show up in this box. That is why I write this question on my MacBook Pro.

Is there a solution?

Thanks,

Walter.

    1. Here is a link to the Apple info sheet on AirPrint. I don't see the HP P1102w listed as a supported printer. Did you perhaps print to this printer using an HP Printer app?

    2. The software used by these forums  causes many problems for iOS devices. I understand they are working on a fix. Try tapping in the text entry box a second time to see if a cursor appears.

    Hi Ralph.

The cursor appears and advances as I type, but no characters appear in the text entry box. Also, the connection is lost all the time.

The problem even worsened. under WiFi, the network of the printer does not appear anymore. This is no modem problem since everything works on my MacBook which I am using this instant.

It seems to have to do with a diminished capability of the newly installed  iOS 8.1.3 to connect with the WIFI network and the stability of it.

    I am really desperate.

    Walter.
