Lost Mode

I just submitted a enchantment request for Lost Mode (using the iCloud)

I thought of a cool feature for lost mode. With new iPhone coming out with extended battery life when on stand by if your iPhone gets stolen and you put the phone in Lost mode using the iCloud. The phone should turn on (if off) in a low battery usage state.

The feature would Turn the phone on and Keep the Phone on and require a Pass-code to turn the phone off. Allowing the phone to be tracked by GPS. Allowing faster and easier police support.

If Owner forgets the pass-code to turn there phone off and or Unlock the phone they could log into iCloud and just turn off lost mode.

This i hope would discourage thieves to steal iPhone.

Give me your thoughts

iCloud has a lost mode right now. When putting your phone in lost mode iCloud asked you to make a passcode.

All they would have to do is log back into iCloud and turn off Lost mode and the phone will be unlocked to the setting the had previously

and since iCloud uses the Apple ID to log in if the forget the Apple Id password the can just reset it using email.

The Feature will only be a extra Add In if the user thinks his/her phone has been stolen, instead of just lost.

When Turing on Lost mode in iCloud it will be a command that get sent to your phone that automatically wakes the phone up.

That way it should work, unless your phone is battery is dead. The phone will be able to Wake from Sleep mode.

If you think about the battery life on iPhone if you leave them on standby its pretty long. that shouldn't be a problem if you have your location apps on all the time anyways. your phone should last a few days.
