Feb 6, 2015 12:42 PM in response to Polgara.2009by jaredfs,If your printer is on the following document, About AirPrint - Apple Support , then you can do so likely without any extra setup. If your printer is not on the list then you cannot print.

Feb 8, 2015 10:41 PM in response to Polgara.2009by sberman,If your printer is not an AIrPrint printer (as jaredfs described above), Epson offers an app called Epson iPrint. It offers a very small print capability, but it is more than nothing. Check it out at the App Store. Better yet, though, would be to purchase an AirPrint printer.

Feb 9, 2015 6:11 AM in response to Polgara.2009by Procyon256,Printing from an ipad is only permitted on printers that manufactures have purchased a licensing agreement from apple for. You will in turn pay a premium for these printers. Some have purchased license to incorporate this feature into software that is available free of charge to the consumer in the app store. I use such an app for my canon printer and while it works ok I generally find it easier to just email to myself and then print it out using my desktop or windows tablet.
