Email won't delete

I have a number of emails that are in my Junk folder that I try to delete permanently but they return to my Junk email as soon as email comes in again. Most emails delete with no trouble, but I have about 120 that won't delete. Any help?

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.5)
