iPhone 6: My cheek keeps hitting the mute button!

Way back when, the iPhone 3 had an issue with the cheek accidentally hitting the mute button during a call - it was fixed.

It seems to have come back on my iPhone 6 with IOS 8.1.3

The fix was to ensure that the screen blacked out when the phone was against the face. My screen does not black out, so the mute button gets hit accidentally by my cheek unless I carefully keep the phone away from my face.

Anyone else have this issue?

Is there a fix?

Anything like an protective film or case covering the proximity sensor on top of the screen?

Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again?

You will not lose data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.
