Q: Safari stopped saving credit card info

Hey Everyone-

Just this morning, Safari stopped remembering my credit card info for autofill. I went to edit a card, and when I finished and hit "Done", all the info disappeared...even for all my other cards. f I re-type the information and hit "Done", Safari never saves it.

Thoughts?

Do I need to trash Safari's preferences?

    Try this ...

Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following:

    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist

Click Go then move the com.apple.Safari.plist file to the Desktop.

Quit and relaunch Safari then check Safari > Preferences > AutoFill. Try to add a card. If it works ok, then move that .plist file to the Trash. Safari will create a new one for you.

If that didn't help, back to the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following

    ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db

Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.

Quit and relaunch Safari to test. Try adding a card again.

Thanks Carolyn. I tried both options but Safari still won't save the info. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Back up all data. Open the iCloud preference pane and uncheck the Keychain box. You'll be prompted to delete the local iCloud keychain. Confirm. Then re-check the box. Follow one of the procedures described in this support article to set up iCloud Keychain on an additional device. Test.

    Thanks Linc!

Apple support essentially had me do the same thing, except after unchecking the Keychain box in the iCloud preference pane, I pulled the Keychain folder in my user library to the desktop and then re-checked the box.
