Q: How do I remove the GoPro Studio Importer menu bar icon?

Uninstall the software that puts it there or see if it has an option to remove it.

just drag it off the bar onto the desktop and it will disappear!

Hold down the command key while attempting to drag it from the menu bar.

I just encountered this same problem, and to solve it within uninstalling it simply do the following:

1) Open up GoPro Studio

2) Select 'GoPro Studio' in the top left of the menu bar

3) Click on 'Preferences'

4) Uncheck 'Automatically import from GoPro cameras'

Voila - The icon disappears instantly!

^^ This is the best solution, assuming you want to use your GoPro.

Excellent solution, as you say, better than uninstalling if you actually want to use the program - but how on earth did you figure that out?? that's hardly an intuitive solution/ outcome to the problem posed - well done for figuring that out.

ps - I tried usual command and drag from finder, and it also did nothing.

I feel like this isn't really the best option, since many people still need the GoPro Studio and just doesn't need that icon. The icon is part of the "Go Pro Importer". As stated in the other answer can be removed by opening studio > preferences > disable imported option and goes instantly
