Microsoft Office 2008 crashes when printing since upgrading to Yosemite

Ever since upgrading my Macbook Pro (late 2009) to OS X Yosemite I'm having trouble with Microsoft Office 2008.

Did you update to a Yosemite compatible printer driver for you brand x model x printer? If not, see the Apple list of supported printers and scanners with update info. After download and install of updated printer driver, reboot your computer.

What troubleshooting methods have you tried?

Could you provide the crash log from one of the MS Office 2008 app crashes?

In addition to the updated printer drivers have you applied all of the MS Office updaters available for Office 2008?

I'm not sure if the printer driver is updated, it usually does that automatically...

That sounds magical but I have never had printer drivers automatically update themselves. After your upgrade to Yosemite, did you setup your printer using Print & Scan in System Preferences?

If you believe the your problem is an "Office issue" then you might try the Microsoft forum.

Reinstall Office 2008, use the uninstaller Microsoft provide with it to remove it, then reinstall from your discs and update it.
