Feb 7, 2015 2:08 PM in response to smsurineby LilyLC,Ever since upgrading my Macbook Pro (late 2009) to OS X Yosemite I'm having trouble with Microsoft Office 2008.
Did you update to a Yosemite compatible printer driver for you brand x model x printer? If not, see the Apple list of supported printers and scanners with update info. After download and install of updated printer driver, reboot your computer.
What troubleshooting methods have you tried?
Could you provide the crash log from one of the MS Office 2008 app crashes?

Feb 7, 2015 7:56 PM in response to Old Toadby smsurine,I have run all the office updates. I'm not sure if the printer driver is updated, it usually does that automatically, but the office programs are the only ones crashing when I try to print, so wouldnt that indicate an Office issue rather than a printer driver issue?

That sounds magical but I have never had printer drivers automatically update themselves. After your upgrade to Yosemite, did you setup your printer using Print & Scan in System Preferences?

No, not necessarily. See thread "microsoft office crashes when trying to print."
If you believe the your problem is an "Office issue" then you might try the Microsoft forum.

Feb 8, 2015 4:29 AM in response to LilyLCby smsurine,I suppose I'm making an assumption on the driver as I've had the computer since 2009 and have never had to manually update a print driver. I should also clarify that the printer is actually a copy machine at my work. I'll try updating it and see if it fixes the issue.
