    Yes - though I believe you should name them differently to help keep the backups separate. Are both of the phones yours/associated with your Apple ID?

    Backups are stored by the device UUID. Name them whatever you like, it's only the interface that could confuse you.

     

    Take care to avoid enabling Automatic downloads or iTunes Match if you use different Apple ID's on each device. Only one Apple ID can use automatic downloads at any time & there is a 90 day time limit on changing Apple ID's for match & automatic downloads.

     

    You may also want to to use separate user accounts unless you want to sync the same media & contacts, calendars etc.
