How can i ugrade passed 10.5.8 FREE without spending a penny?

Hi anyone/everyone,

my name is Kristin... 😕 I have been trying to download several different programs and i have also purchased games and programs, wasting several of hundreds of dollars, only to of course, be UNABLE 😢 to use or install ANY of them. I am running OS X 10.5.8 and nowadays its obsolete and nothing runs on anything below 10.7 😮 which is ********, because i should not have to spend another few hundred dollars JUST to download Snow Leopard or some other one of those new animal names just in order to be able to use my computer. It's unfair for APPLE to sell me a product, then a few years later make is so that i can only operate limited programs. It's to the point where i cannot even download older versions of the programs that used to run on 10.5.8. PLEASE, CREATE an UPGRADE to 10.7!!! AY LEAST 10.6???!! Thank you, even for listening if no one can or WON'T help me.
