No, you cannot add apps to Apple TV. If you have an IOS device you can use airplay, if a developer has enabled it, or mirror
I'd be surprised to see Flixster ever appear as it would really compete with iTunes purchases if you bought physical media with digital copies instead, but currently it is not available and cannot be added.
The iPhone/iPad Flixster app did not originally allow you to Airplay a movie/show to AppleTV but seems an update in May added Airplay so this might be one solution provided of course you have an iPhone/iPad. Personally not a big fan of Airplay, but no harm trying it.
