Feb 6, 2015 7:11 PM in response to BBby babowa,I would not ever use a swiffer dust anything on a highly glossy surface as they are treated with some sort of chemical - they left a film on my good wood. In any case, here are Apple's recommendations:

Since the screen is not made of regular glass, I would not use vinegar either. A damp cloth is all I've used.

Feb 7, 2015 4:19 PM in response to babowaby BB,I mostly just use microfiber, the distilled water and vinegar mixture is used for just dirty areas and I only dab it on a microfiber. What I can't figure out os that you can't feel anything. if I take a microfibre cloth and just very lightly wipe it, its gone. Its almost as if the dust wants to settle in the straight line. Im also being critical because you can only see it when the computer is off and with a flashlight. I wonder if there is a static charge in that area or something? Do they make antistatic cleaner?

Feb 7, 2015 4:39 PM in response to BBby babowa,That kind of area and being an electronic device maintaining an electric charge - just like a big screen TV - will always attract dust particles and become static when it is rubbed with something; microfiber - at least in my experience - exacerbates that.

Feb 9, 2015 3:51 PM in response to babowaby BB,its a fine scratch, don.t know if I did it or it was always there but apple was nice enough to exchange it.Tried for a while with a microfiber and even though I couldn't feel it with my fingernail, it never went away. Thanks Apple

Feb 15, 2016 9:19 AM in response to BBby Mr. Luigi,For future reference...I've used iKlear screen cleaner on all my Apple products for years. Doesn't harm the protective, anti-fingerprint, anti-glare coatings but cleans really well. I use it with a microfibre cloth. It will take a bit of gentle rubbing with the cloth to remove all residue of the cleaner from a large computer display. Don't apply when the screen is warm as it is easier to wipe off the cleaner from a cool screen. I wouldn't use vinegar, etc. even on the tiniest of spots as it could damage the high tech coatings Apple applies to its display surfaces.
That was awesome of Apple to replace your device!
I don't know if they will let me post the link to the product on iKear's website, but here it is just in case. (I buy the 8 oz spray bottle for cost effectiveness. Currently on sale for $10.00. You can certainly get it at Amazon, etc. too)
