When i connect my iPhone to iTunes the data at the bottom states i have over 6.3 GB of photos. However on my phone i have maximum of 200 photos and videos combined. My photo stream is also empty.
In my manage storage section is says i have 6.3 GB in my photo library, but as i stated previously i dont.
any ideas?
The only solution that worked for me was to back up my phone to my computer through iTunes, transferred my photos to iPhoto, and then restored my phone using iTunes. I restored using my last backup from my computer. I had to reorganize all of my apps, but it freed up 6GB. Hope this helps.
I managed to get rid of the phantom usage. Restoring iPhone and resetting the phone settings/data do not work for me.
I had to move the Date on my phone earlier by 1,2,3 months and found the phantom photos in the Recently Deleted Folder. Next, I deleted the photos manually from the Recently Deleted Folder and the usage got freed up from my iPhone.

I just spent 45 minutes with a student iPad (managing for our school) and after resetting, restoring, and everything else, it took this trick to do the job. Thanks for sharing. I would not have thought about this as an option.
