I bought a used 27" Cinema Display (A1316) and had it connected to my Mid 2011 iMac with thunderbolt connections. The screen goes black but I can still get audio through its speakers. Do I need to replace the cable bundle? Help please!

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like trouble with an external display. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

Reset the system
You can reset the Mac's parameter RAM and SMC.
