Q: Will synch delete a film added to iPad
I am fairly confident the answer is "No" as anything else would be ridiculous but I'll try to explain the reason for my question.
For the sake of simplicity I'll restrict the discussion to an iTunes Film synch between the Windows 7 PC and the iPad Air 2 via a wired link
As far as I can see the PC is regarded as the "master" device. After the synch the PC has the same films it had before the synch, but the films on the iPad do change - it ends up with only the films that were ticked on the PC iTunes. Although I should add that, up to now, all the films have been added via PC and none have been directly downloaded to the iPad,
After that rather extended intro I'll return to the question. If I now download a film directly to the iPad what will happen during the subsequent synch. Will that film be deleted from the iPad. Will the film be added to the PC?
iPad Air, iOS 8.1.2

It should be added to the PC. You should be prompted by iTunes that you have purchases on the iPad that have not been transferred to iTunes and at that point you will be given the option to transfer the film to your iTunes library. If you do not add it to the iTunes library, I believe you get a message that the purchase will be deleted.
You can also do I this way.
