ios 8.1.3 not actually compatable with 4s; fixes?
So I've been around the block and back talking to Apple Support who apparently thinks I'm stupid. "Oh your battery was bad, but your mom's 4s didn't know it until you updated, which is why you're now having battery issues." That calls back to a child's understanding of computers, not two grown women. That's not how that works, good sir, thank you for insulting my intelligence.
Anyway, ever since we upgraded her 4s to 8.1.3, she's an early innovator on a budget, we've had nothing but issues. The 4s will detect wifi, but it can't detect network connections, so we just get the loading symbol. Their support says it was our wifi, but why would this phone, which had no issues previously, suddenly realize "Oh wait, this wifi is bad, just like my battery," when three laptops and two phones are still a-ok with the wifi. Is it because I haven't done the update? Is my 5 just oblivious to the fact that it can't actually connect to the wifi as well? There's also a slew of battery issues since upgrading. When the first operator asked "Is your 5 experiencing any issues?", to which I replied, "No because I didn't do the update!", there was an understanding, amused laugh before he caught himself.
Also three different support employees stated "Well we certainly don't want you to upgrade, I still have a 4s myself" exactly that way, reading their trained script. I find that hard to believe three different people would say that phrase that exact way and all have 4s' while working for apple support. Or is Apple actually the hive mind we all suspect. I just wanted an admittance that there was a screw up with the update (or less likely, we did this screw up that messes up older phones with the hope people would upgrade to newer phones because Tim Cook doesn't have enough money). And some help or explanation of help beyond a myriad of resets as if that were an end all be all. Or explain that the factory reset would take it to an older version of ios which hey, that would be peachy keen. Not treating us like we're stupid and iphones have a default emotion of obliviousness.
The point of this angry vent is to ask for help myself and to shed some light on how asinine apple support is, not in their composed employees, but in their presumptuous expectation of every customer being stupid, here's a reset Cletus, go be happy. Anyone have any actual help and explanation of why this help that would be useful to our predicament?
As an addendum, if this issue cannot be satisfactorily solved, I'm switching to Samsung Galaxy and not looking back.
