Mac mini 2014 bluetooth issues

running 10.10.2

Is anyone else having bluetooth issues on a Mac mini 2014, 2.8GHz, 16GB RAM, Fusion drive? The issues are as follows: 1) unable to connect sometimes 2) hangs, skips and drops out during playback 3) while playing spotify, if the screen goes to sleep, when I log back in, the audio turns to complete static noise.

mac mini 2012 running same OS version does not have these issues.

I have unplugged my usb 3.0 hub and things seemed to have gotten only slightly better which was the suggestion on this support area. So, this did not solve my problems.
