How do you disable the "Disable automatic login"?

Have you tried going to the Users & Groups system prefs and enable Automatic Login there?

I haven't found any other settings that will disable that checkbox.

@Niel Alright, I successfully changed my computer to use a different password, but it is still requiring that I enter a password at start up. It seems to be ignoring everything I change in the Users & Groups options, because Chrome kept opening automatically, and so I unchecked Chrome under the "Login Items" menu, but it is still opening automatically at start up
