sseveral attempts I get the message "activation failed"

Hi Aglefeb,

If you are having an issue with FaceTime not functioning correctly on your iPad because of activation failure, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article -

Able to log into the app store but same error when trying to launch facetime.
