Bluetooth interfering with older OS?

We are two developers sitting in the same room. My computer has been upgraded to OS X Yosemite 10.10.2. His computer is still on Mavericks.

After I upgraded from 10.10.1 to 10.10.2 my colleague have has serious problems with his Bluetooth. It stops working when we are in the same room. He has to reboot the computer to get Bluetooth working again. He even replaced the batteries for his mouse and keyboard without success. How many times did he restart his computer a day? 5-10 times.

I switched off my Bluetooth to see if his problems went away, and it did.

Can it be that Bluetooth on Yosemite 10.10.2 is interfering with Bluetooth on Mavericks?

Hi velociter,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like the bluetooth connection is dropping when you are using bluetooth on another device. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.
