Q: Benefits of ethernet on Mac LC III (LC-PDS Card)?
I am considering purchasing an LC-PDS card for my Macintosh LC III. Before I do, however, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it would be in any way beneficial or useful to have one installed on a computer running System 7.6. For instance, what will installing that card allow me to do?
- Does it allow for basic file sharing between, say, the LC III and another Mac on OS 9.2.2?
- Will I be able to access any of my files on other computers over the internal network?
- Does it provide any internet connectivity and if so, to what extent?
- Will I be able to visit a few text-only websites?
- Does a working browser even exist for System 7.6?
Any feedback or advice is very much welcomed. Thanks!
Macintosh LC III, Mac OS 8.6 or Earlier, System 7.6, 32MB RAM, 25MHz

iCab still has a browser that will work on the 68K machines.
