My MacBook Pro won't start at all. What should I do??

My Macbook Pro 13" won't start. I don't hear a the fan running either. My charger was currently broken a little but I plugged it in and it would occasionally spark but it still charge. One day I took the charger off and logged off of facebook and closed my MacBook which was at 44%. I woke up the next morning and it wouldnt turn on, so I tried charging it but my charger did work. Then I used my friends charger, she has the same Macbook Pro I have but it did work. The green light on the charger would shine and then it would go to the yellow/orange color and then would fade the color into a darker color or no color at all. Will the Genius Bar charge me if I have them look at it? I tried a different outlet but it all does the same. What should I do?? I don't have the money right now to get it fix of its some thing major. I don't know what to do?
