Q: Receiving group iMessages in email inbox

I keep receiving group imessages through my email inbox thats the same as my apple id email

iPad Air, iOS 8.1.3, iPad Air 2

Greetings cooltj64,

After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with iMessages being received via email. It explains how to change where and how your messages are received:

iOS and OS X: Link your phone number and Apple ID for use with FaceTime and iMessage - Apple Support

On iOS devices, find out which addresses are enabled with FaceTime and iMessage by tapping:

Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > You can be reached by iMessage at:
Settings > FaceTime > You can be reached by FaceTime at:

It's not that I'm receiving messages from my email I want that to happen it's that the messages I'm receiving are going into my emails inbox

Hi.

I'm not sure why that would be a problem? Emails are supposed to go into your inbox.
