Q: My 1-year old MB Air's keyboard dims after a second or two and I must re-click twice to get it active.  Is there an option in utilities?  Or, how do I fix?

The settings in Energy Saver preferences affect what happens when your Mac is left unattended for a period of time that you specify.

 

1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple () menu.
2. Click the Energy Saver icon in the System Preferences window.

Computer Sleep

This setting is different from display sleep in that other parts of the computer also sleep. If you set the computer to never sleep using this slider, the display and other elements of the computer remain in a fully powered state.
