Facebook doesn't recognize my computer

I keep getting logged out of accounts. Computer virus? Computer setting?

Facebook, Google, Pinterest and Yahoo keep logging me out. Facebook seems to think I keep logging in from a different device, but I am not. Any advice? I think this started after I downloaded updates on the 5th (Security Update 2015-001 Version 1.0, Safari Version 7.1.3, Remote Desktop Client Update Version 3.8.3 v1.1 ). Thank you!

I have changed the DNS Servers. Downloaded and ran Clam Xav. It found one suspicious file, but it was just an email from a friend warning about a phishing scam on ebay.

I am on a MacBook Air, 11" Early 2014.

1.4 GHz Intel Core i5

8GB 1600 MHz DDR3

OSX 10.9.5

Yahoo says my browser won't accept cookies. I can only type a few words before the spinning wheel pops up. Problem seems to just be with internet. Can anyone help please?

Adware on Mac is really reaching epidemic proportions. I wrote a little diagnostic program to help show what what software is running in the background, including adware. Download EtreCheck from http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck, run it, and paste the results here. EtreCheck is perfectly safe to run, does not ask for your password to install, and is signed with my Apple Developer ID. If it finds any adware, it will include a "Remove" link that will direct you to another tool, AdwareMedic (written by another Apple Support Communities member), that will remove the adware.

our friend etresoft is a wise and capable adviser. It also could not hurt - after you download, run & post results of etrecheck - to also download & run our friend thomas_r.'s neat little App - AdwareMedic.

*I am not associated with either of these fine fellows - aside from this forum, but I can tell you that both of these Apps are widely used with no reports of any problems whatsoever.

I suspect you may have some kind of "security" software installed that is causing this problem. Posting an EtreCheck report would help identify what that might be if you don't know already.

The only thing that concerns me is that Facebook is saying you're logging in from a different device. That could be a symptom of a hacked Facebook account, since the hacker may be logged on to your Facebook account from another machine when you try to log in. I would strongly recommend changing your Facebook account password, as well as any other social media and e-mail passwords. (Often, a breach of one account can lead to breaches of multiple others.)
