Cannot change location on BBC website in Safari on iPad

I cannot change the location from London to Southampton where I live, in the BBC website through the Safari browser on my iPad 3rd Generation which is up to date software wise. I can tap on the change location or London, I can then enter Southampton but tapping the confirm button doesn't work. Does anyone know whether the location can be changed on an iPad as it can on a desk
