How to Make Side-by-Side Stacked Graph

Hi,

I am having some difficulty making a side by side stacked graph comparison. I have two sets of data, both using compound interest. One set shows how much the total will grow to after 1 year of cutting back on 5 different expenses. The Other set of data shows how much the total will grow to after 5 years of cutting on those same 5 expenses.

I want to show a stacked bar graph at each time interval, but am having trouble visually comparing the "savings from 1 year of expense reduction" versus the "savings from 5 years of expense reduction". Here is the data set I've been using. Any help would be great appreciated!

There is no side-by-side stacked bar chart. You can overlap two charts to create such a thing.

This required creating the first stacked bar chart of columns 1.1-1.3, copy/pasting the chart, changing the second chart to point at the data in 2.1-2.3, changing the colors in the second chart, overlapping the two charts, setting their Y min and Y max and steps to the same numbers, removing duplicated elements (grid lines, Y axis labels, etc), removing the X axis labels, replacing the X axis labels with a table that I resized, removed the borders, and used formulas to get the labels from table 1. Straightforward but several steps to get it done.

I am not really sure what you want to stack in your data but your underlying question was about a side-by-side stacked chart so I attempted to answer that. I hope it helps.
