How do I delete space on iTunes that is affecting storage on my iPhone 5s?

I'd like to know how to avoid syncing 3.6 GB of space of photos that I don't have in my phone but they keep showing on the lower bar in iTunes?

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1.3
