I sent a PDF by iMessage yesterday. The message went but iMessage froze, then the whole Mac froze (the spinning wheel), needing a cold restart. Does this mean that I should never send PDF's by iMessage?

Sorry to telling this but you unable to send PDF files via iMessage. There is a trick like if you email the file to yourself the PDF file, right click on it, any give option to send via iMessage. May be this can help.

Tried this. Still froze iMessage. I suspect sending any PDF's by iMessage doesn't work well.
