can compressor 3.5 exist on same computer as compressor 4?

    Yes. However, beginning with OS10.9, the preference pane of Qmaster is no longer supported. There are work-arounds that use the command line interface. Of you don't need to set up clusters, the two versions of Compressor coexist fine.
