Q: Phone gets to password screen then goes back off

HHi, my phone turns itself off even with good battery percentage, when turning it back on it will get to password screen then go back off or stays black with apple sign for around 20secs then goes back off , empty battery sign comes on but it dies does this regardless if it's on charge or not
